YOUR STEWARDSHIP CAN HELP NOW ...
... and in the future.
We believe that close ties to nature made in early life will become lifelong bonds, and that ultimately, children will grow to form a generation of adults who are knowledgeable and passionate about wild places and wild things.
By giving generously you can help us to maintain the habitat for biodiversity; to deliver environmental education programs, provide outdoor recreation opportunities, and secure its position as Canada’s internationally recognized Ramsar wetland.

Email: askus@crestonwildlife.ca Since the birth of the Wildlife Area in 1968, we have replaced cycles of flood and drought with lush marshes teeming with life. The complex system of dykes, channels and ponds must be maintained and operated, or these precious marshes will be lost.
Money to support Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area programs and projects come from partners like you - the individual, corporations, foundations and granting agencies. Partners are essential towards maintaining and operating this accredited international 17,000-acre natural resource for biodiversity, research, education and visitors. Our partners appreciate the importance of wetlands to our planet's health and want to be recognized as stewards.
Help us to continue conserving and managing this accredited international Ramsar wetland, where endangered and imperiled species depend on the habitat. Did you know wetlands are the most productive ecosystems on earth? If we didn't conserve and manage this wetland all the animals would have no place to go. Financial support from Partners is vital for keeping our wetland thriving.
Over the years, money donated to the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area by individuals and organizations has helped fund the largest and most important resting and feeding ground for waterfowl in the interior of British Columbia. Manage important habitat for more than 265 species of birds, 50 of mammals, 30 of fish, reptiles and amphibians, hundreds of plants (some very rare elsewhere), and thousands of invertebrates. Over 100,000 migrating waterfowl use the Area. Mammal residents include numerous deer, coyotes, river otters, mink, beavers, and muskrats. Over a hundred elk frequent the Area as do the occasional black bear, cougar, and moose. The best large mouth bass fishery in BC, and perhaps western Canada, also exists here.
